For the first Daring Baker's challenge in 2009 we were given the task to tackle Tuiles. This month's challenge is brought to us by Karen of Bake My Day and Zorra of 1x umruehren bitte aka Kochtopf. They have chosen Tuiles from The Chocolate Book by Angélique Schmeink and Nougatine and Chocolate Tuiles from Michel Roux. Thank goodness they chose something fairly quick and simple because, once again, the best of intentions to get this done early in the month were quickly dashed. For my tuiles I chose to use the 'plain' recipe from The Chocolate Book (as seen at Zorra's blog), and pipe a little chocolate stripe on the cookie before baking, then rolling them around the handle of a wooden spoon. I filled my cookies with a raspberry and cream cheese filling using this recipe from Helen at Tartelette.
Be sure to check out all the seriously beautiful creations from all the other Daring Bakers!

Thanks for baking, a very pretty package!
