TWD: Chocolate Whopper Malted Drops

Photobucket

Like the gratuitous chocolate shot? Brought to you courtesy of Rachel of Confessions of a Tangerine Tart's pick the Chocolate Whopper Malted Drops for this week's Tuesdays with Dorie offering.

Since there was chocolate involved (and in cookie form again - yay!) I knew I would be happy with this recipe. What I wasn't prepared for however was to LOVE these cookies. LOVE. Seriously. I made a full batch and scooped all the cookies and froze most of them so I can prolong the pleasure of baking these warm from the oven whenever I want them. I had planned on sharing these with the Blue Dragons again this week, but... I think they are going to get something else - I'm not sure I can share this one.

Incidentally, the cookies last week were a hit with the team and I was glad I brought extra because the other team's snacks didn't show up so we provided the after game treat for the Red Lightening too. One of the other Mom's was really cute and came over to thank me since I hadn't even realized that they didn't have a snack - I just figured they saw cookies and wanted one. Anyway, I was glad they liked them and that I decided to take so many.

Soooo... back to how much I loved these cookies. I really ended up with hardly any crunch at all, just lots of melty chocolate and chewy melted whoppers. And, just in case it wasn't already obvious that a double chocolate soft, chewy, melty cookie is complete heaven to me then let me just reiterate that I loved these so much! Thanks to Rachel for this week's pick! Don't forget to check out how the rest of the TWD Crew handled their chocolate this week (oh, and if you are like me, make sure to have a few of these cookies on hand while cruising the blogs - you know, just to keep your keyboard from being ruined by all the drooling you'll be doing!)

Seriously, that top picture is one of the BEST cookie pics I've seen so far. I started drooling, a dangerous thing to do over a computer keyboard!

I love the way you stacked your cookies around the jar of whoppers. Those buns below look fabulous too. I just made buns last week-some white and then later some whole wheat. They sure do make the burger.

I was also completely unprepared for the love I felt for these cookies! Yours look a-maz-ing!! Oh, the meltiness that your pictures capture! I wish I had some more of mine left. These are definitely NOT the cookies to share with the Blue Dragons. But you might not want to listen to me -- these cookies made me greedy.

Yes, let the Blue Dragons eat cheerios or something. With love that intense, sharing is just not possible.

Cookies in Cages. How smart to keep them from escaping from the kitchen ( and ultimate demise). Love it!!!
